InfoSEC is a web application that allows you to easily and securely exchange sensitive information with partners, colleagues and customers, using nothing more than your web browser.Secure data and message exchange has traditionally relied upon SSL/TLS or VPN connections. While these tunnelling mechanisms provide good point-to-point data security, none of the data is secured before or after transfer. Furthermore, the issues surrounding the configuration of services such as secure-FTP proxy services are non-trivial, even for experienced system administrators.
Perhaps most importantly, traditional point-to-point security is
ineffective once the messages leave the SSL/TLS or VPN tunnel, at
either at the message destination, or at an intermediate point
such as a proxy. The messages are therefor vulnerable at
intermediate hosts or networks (including the De-Militarised
Zone, or DMZ), and again in the business processing and internal
network. And no long-term source authentication or
non-repudiation is possible, since the individual messages are
not secured, limiting the value of event logs, audit trails and
message archives.
